Barter Based: Basic Welding

  • 800 Ingilsville Road Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia B0S 1C0 Canada (map)

Join Peter as he starts us on a welding adventure! We will meet at 800 Ingilsville Road so that we can access to his equipment. Peter will go over Stick Welding, MIG and if there is time we will do some copper soldering for plumbing.

If this is your first time attending a barter-based class, note that attendees are encouraged to bring an item(s) to offer in exchange for the knowledge shared in addition to any supplies required for the class. Our facilitator's preferred items are listed below to help identify fair trades:

  • Produce

  • Farm fresh eggs

  • Wine

  • cheese

  • Any surprises at all

There is no fee associated with this ticket but please do not just indicate "coming" on the event - we've found this is not an accurate capture of attendees. If you have any difficulty registering you can send us an email to lifeschoolhouseav@gmailcom or @lifeschoolhouseav on facebook.

Please wear non-flammable clothing i.e. cotton.
This is very much a hands on experience 'How do you get to Carnegie Hall...?'
'Practice, practice, practice'

This will give you the basic understanding of welding with the ability to repair, rebuild or repurpose the ultimate metal recycling... the limit is imagination and skill (practice, practice, practice!)

If you happen to have any of the following please bring it: Personal Protective Equipment, glasses, gloves, welding masks. Peter does have a limited supply of these items so you do not have to have them to come!
